Genetic diversity and plant growth-promoting activity of the dominant bacteria from canola plants in Western Iran

Abstract Background Plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) can be used as a safe and sustainable agricultural measure to increase plant yield. In this study, cultivable rhizospheric, endophytic, epiphytic associated with canola were isolated on nutrient agar medium. The SDS-PAGE method was for grouping the bacterial strains. Bacterial strains more than 80% similarity in their protein patterns placed same species selected representative partial 16S rRNA encoding gene sequence analysis. Results It found that study belonged Pseudomonas , Frigoribacterium Sphingomonas Sphingobacterium Microbacterium Bacillus Rhodococcus genera. Three PGP bioactivities including siderophore production, nitrogen fixation ability, phosphate solubilization evaluated 18 All tested able produce siderophore, although only 5 could fix none solubilize phosphate. Greenhouse experiments showed 4 (i.e., 8312, 642, 1313W, 9421) significantly affected seed germination seedling growth. strain which identified sp., highest effect growth of plant. These results indicated potential 8312 biofertilizer cultivation. Conclusions research canola-related diverse during flowering stage. One isolate had significant all factors greenhouse. Hence, it is recommended investigate further field infestation experiments.
